I started working with MSIP 6 weeks ago, it feels like 6 days. I miss my new friends greatly. We had such a fantastic time this summer hanging out everyday and traveling all over this side of the state, Omaha and Kansas City. I feel very useless now. Going from a 24-7 job to none has been quite a shock actually, I couldn't sleep my first night home because I didn't have 15 girls knocking on my door to tell me goodnight or to ask something or to just have some girl bonding time--"Britta, I think I'm in love with..." was always my favorite way they started out the bedtime conversation! It's also weird not having people around me during meals and not having Merritt saying "POOL! Britta, Pool!" everyday at about 1:00 in the afternoon.
But, here we go, getting ready for Alabama in 28 days! A month sounds like a long time right now, but I know that it'll fly. I'm hoping that Grandpa will give the the new Dodge Caliber that he won at the Wagner casino on the 4th of July! That color blue is the same as my eyes you know! *hint hint* C'mon grandpa, you know your grandbaby needs a new car to go with her new life! :-D
I've done A LOT of sewing in my one day home so far, I made a quilt for my sister and converted a pair of jeans into a skirt for myself. (Your sewing machine is getting good use Grandma!)
I went and worked out this morning at the Fitness Center, which I hate! I much prefer swimming at the Dome everyday! I hate sitting on a machine, I get so bored so quickly! I've gotten so used to multi-tasking that I don't think I know how to just enjoy doing one thing at a time anymore. I also tanned, so that was nice I guess. I should just use the real sun, but it's really HOT here! I know, "it's hot in Alabama" but that's why I picked costume design for a profession, I will be perpetually stuck in dark dungeons all my life!
Here's a fun fact: I turn 22 exactly one month from today!
